​It all began when my wife was looking for a nutritious, satisfying snack to keep her going as a full-time, on-the-go mum to two energetic toddlers. With a few dietary restrictions and not much love for jerky to begin with, she wasn’t exactly thrilled when I suggested she give it a try. Reluctantly, she did, we sampled brand after brand — but nothing hit the mark.

Everything we found was either too salty, loaded with sugar, overly processed, or just plain bland. And don’t even get us started on the texture — most specialty jerky chews like old shoe leather.

So Chan The Jerky Man was born.

​

As a lifelong beef lover with a taste for bold, full-flavoured cooking — inspired by Texas BBQ and the vibrant spices of Southeast Asia — I decided to make something better. It didn’t take long before my wife, who once swore she’d never touch jerky again, became a daily convert.

​

I started making small batches and sharing them with friends as gifts. The feedback was overwhelming — people insisted, “This is the best jerky I’ve ever had. You have to sell this!”. And, here we are.

 

At Chan The Jerky Man, our Jerky speaks for itself. Made from premium beef and no hidden-nasties, you can snack guilt-free. We don’t believe in doing things in halves - we go all in for that flavour explosion which keeps you coming back for more.


But, we’ll let your taste buds decide if it’s the best jerky you’ve ever had.
